my friends told me that cell phones actually use psychic power from your brain and that is how we are able to have conversations without using wires or radios. is this true?

Let’s say I have a Verizon cell phone, my friend has a Sprint cell phone, and my other friend has a Cingular cell phone. We all have the same area code. Is there a way to know if the three phones will tell the same time without actually putting them side-by-side and comparing them? Do cell phones use a cell tower to get their time? What do cell towers use? Do the various major carriers all use the same source to set their clocks?
Thank you for the answer re: networks recording when calls are made. Do all networks (e.g., Verizon and Cingular) synchronize off the same time source? Is this something regulated by the Government?

I am looking for a new cell phone and I need to know of a website that would sell good quality cell phones for a cheap price. They also have to be able to work with Rogers Wireless, and work in Canada..
And help?

My husband and I want to be on a family plan for our cell phones. We want to go with AT&T, but the phone I want is carried in one place and the one he wants is at another place. Can you buy a family plan cell phone at 2 different places?

Liquor and cigarettes are not sold to anyone without a driver’s license or state ID card? Isn’t it ridiculous that anyone can buy a prepaid cell phone and use it to commit crimes. I just saw on AMW that a murder victim had called prepaid cell phone thrice on the day he was killed. Police couldn’t find out the owner of the cell phone because it had a prepaid card. This is a threat to the national security as well if terrorists are able to buy such disposable phones.

I need a new cell phone that can take a beating and keep on working. It needs to have bluetooth and a camera and any other features would be great. It must work with at&t (cingular). I’ve heard there are some phones that are waterproof and impact resistant. I really like Nokia phones more than anything but I’m open to suggestions.
