I’ve been trying to do my homework, and unfortunately the cell phones that look really cool with the best features are not usable where I live. verizon seems to have the coolest, with T-mobile next. I can get an iphone here, but the others seem better. Unfortunately, no coverage here for either company. Why can’t you just pick a phone you like and it work with a different company?

I don’t know much about this so I need help. If my friend wants to cell me his T-Mobile cell phone, can it work with Cingular if I unlock it at some kind of phone repair shop?

Verizon wouldn’t work because they use CDMA, right? But what other companies’ phones can work with Cingular? And how much does it cost to unlock a phone?

I have sprint and I found out the razor costs about 0 in the beginning of a plan but 0 in the middle of a plan. What cell phones just cost the same in the middle of a plan (no price limit)?
