What are some reasons why people should not use cell phones in public places?
So far, I basically have etiquette (manners), privacy and health concerns. I need at least one more reason and my mind is blank.
Or if you have reasons why people SHOULD use their cell phones in public let me know those too so I can argue those reasons in my paper.
Thanks for all the help in advance.

I have noticed that people on their cell phones often are unaware of their surroundings. There have been two occasions locally in which a person was hit and killed by a train because the person just didn’t know the train was coming.
I have had people walk into me when on the phone – I think ones peripheral vision is decreased when on the phone.
impolite to use
It depends on the public place. Church is no time to talk on the phone. In a library you should be quiet. On the other hand, it should be perfectly o.k. at McDonald’s or Starbucks. In those situations, others are talking, so there is NO logical reason to deem cell phone use rude.
People should not use cell phones in public as much as they do because it shows how self centered and selfish they are. They get in their own little worlds and forget about everyone else around them that have things to do or don’t want to hear every little thing they have to say. TMI. It’s worse when they are driving. No one owes anyone anything. Get over yourself already cell phone abusers. No one cares. No one is impressed. They are all the same. The ones that stand out are the ones that get it.
Auntie P- It’s true. A study was down at a college in Rhode Island about how your vision is shortened while in a phone conversation. It’s how the brain works. If you are cognizant then you can feel it. I have. I always limit or eliminate my phone conversations when I’m driving or out and about.
