What do you think of cell phones for teens?

Personally, I don’t like them. We have 2 boys, 15 and 17 who don’t have cell phones, but would like to. I feel that the use that is made of cell phones is for the most part a waste of time. We have one cell phone which I keep for the person who is using the car, or for one of the boys on certain occasions. Am I being too old fashioned?

I mostly use my cell phone for emergencies.
If I’m at the mall with my friends, I can just call my dad to come pick me up.
If my dad is taking too long to pick me up from school, I can call him and remind him to pick me up or ask where he’s at.

I think you should give them cell phones nearly all teens have cell phones these days. They are not only nice for the teens, but you can keep in contact with them whenever you want call. You can call them if you want to know where they are. So I would say go ahead and get them cell phones!
Get them cell phones.
These days, there are virtually no teens who don’t own a cell phone.
