What will happen to Alltel prepaid and regular cell phones when Verizon takes over?
I searched for quite some time on Google and couldn’t find my answer.
Will someone with Alltel prepaid (and regular) cell phones still be able to use them when Verizon takes over Alltel at the end of the year?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
I will pick best answer.

I personally haven’t heard that they are taking them over. but that doesn’t mean they aren’t. The same thing will happen when Cingular took over AT&T. The ones already with a plan will be able to still use it until their contract is up then forcing them to either choose another plan that verizon offers or go to another cell phone company. Those for Prepaid users they will automatically be forced to use Verizon’s prepaid plan or switch to another carrier
