Why do people insist on talking on their cell phones whil driving?
Is it possible to have both your cell phones with the same number?
I know an older person who would like to have two cell phones in place of their land line. They would like to have both cell phones with the same number but keep them in different parts of their home. They live alone so there isn’t a problem of two people needing to call at the same time.
Is it possible to have two cell phones with the same number. It would kind of be like having a land line and an extra land line phone with the same number in a different room. If so, do you know which providers offer this option?
Thanks in advance for your help.
How do I get a cell phone for the home and have it tied into multiple house phones?
Why do some people HAVE to carry their cell phones with them wherever they go?
I see it all the time! I see people blabbing on their cell phones while they’re paying the cashier. I see them answer their cell phones in the movie theaters! I have a cell phone myself, but my life doesn’t revolve around it. The way I see it, if a call is important enough and I’ve missed it, the caller can always leave a voicemail message. Why don’t other people have lives outside their cell phones?
Where do I find a resource on how cell phones work and their components?
I am looking for a book, e-book, online resource or some kind of resource material that has information on how cell phones work and each individual component (generically of course), down to what each piece on the motherboard is and does. Where can I find something anything like this?
I’ve been to How Stuff Works, so don’t mention that one. I don’t want some summaries of the system and their connections to towers. I want a detailed list and diagram of components, how they are assembled and what they do. I want details and technical information.
What will happen to Alltel prepaid and regular cell phones when Verizon takes over?
How does “pay-as-you-go” work for cell phones?
Make sure your answer is detailed. I want to know exactly how it works. I’ve never owned a cell phone before, so I have no idea. Do minutes ever expire? If you have no minutes, can your phone still recieve incoming calls? If someone else phones you, does that conversation still use up minutes? What about text messaging? What about long-distance phone calls? Are long-distance text messages any different than local text-messages? Are there any special Sunday rates?
Please describe everything in detail — I’m completely clueless.
My phone will not be for every day chatting, it will be for three minute conversations about where we are going to meet, and emergencies.
