There are 200 million cell phones in India. Some people say soon our birds will become extinct because our atmosphere is polluted with electromagnetic waves and birds can not fly in this atmosphere.
I read this report in a local language (Tamil-a south Indian language)news paper.I have not been able to verify the source from the Editor.

How do pre-paid cell phones with internet access usually charge for internet access? Do they charge for how long your using internet access, taking off minutes the whole time your using the internet or do they charge so much a day for internet access, taking off only a few minutes to access the internet for the day?

Would you have invested in cell phones when they first came out? – Remeber the old bag phone?
Given a similar opportunity today, would you invest now?
How much would you be willing to invest?

I currently have highspeed access and home phone service through AT&T/SBC. I got rid of both cell phones about a year ago. I’ve heard of people getting rid of their regular home phone, and getting cell phones instead, and keeping high speed access, which is what I want to do. How do I do this? I’m not getting a very straightforward answer from AT&T – they told me I’d still have to keep my home phone to keep internet access, but I could get the minimum phone package.

I have a bad touch with cell phones. They don’t like me. Screens break, and pieces fall off, and so I need a very durable phone. Also, I prefer one that is not a flip screen, and money is an issue, so preferably a cheaper one.
I am with Verizon, by the way.
Thanks!
Yay! Dropping durability is good!

I heard that kids can get brain cancer if they use cell phones so, from what age is it safe for kids to use them?

I am *NOT* advocating that we allow cell phones or pagers to
be turned on during any part of any flight – however, does anyone
know of any documented avionics (flight radio and navigation)
problems caused by personal transmitters in the cabin?
Anbody know how "Myth Busters" debunked
this without themselves violating some
airline’s policies?
By the way, general aviation pilots routinely
carry cell phones AND USE THEM from
the air. Granted, their avionics is usually
pretty unsophisticated compared to
commercial airlines.
The only avionics that I know of that would
care would be ADF’s (which get directional
information from any modulated signal).
NOBODY uses ADFs any more. It would
be like trying to use a sextant for
positional information on the ocean.
If you were using it, you’d be trying to
prove something to somebody – not for
the accuracy of its information.
