Is it usually for a 12 going on 13 girl to have a cell phone? She never really uses the ohone that much, she just likes to have to to show off and be cool because all of her friends have really cool and expensive phones. What should I do?

Looking into a new Cell phone/Carrier in the Central Florida Area but I want some advice on phones and or carriers. So far im thinking Metro PCS with a SamSung Slider phone..

I can plug multiple phones into the same land line and use one or have multiple family members on the landline at the same time. Is it possible to have multiple cell phones connected to the same cell number or alternatively can a second cell phone connect once a call is established on the first cell phone?
